BOLTED FEATURE TRUSSES

Bolted feature trusses are commonly used by today's architects to enhance the aesthetics of a room or even an entire area, within a building. However, the side cut or bolted truss has a long history of successfully supporting roof structures since before the introduction of prefabricated roof trusses in the 1960's.

Bolted trusses are generally manufactured from large section timbers of Oak, Pine, Douglas Fir or Glulam. Positioned at wider centres and generally connected, at their joints, with steel bolted brackets, the finished truss provides structural support for the chosen roof covering.

And the feature truss adds visual appeal to the finished construction, with the ceiling and underside of the rafters left exposed to view.

Every bespoke project is designed by our specialist engineers who use the very latest in cutting edge design and CAD software.

The components of each truss are individually cut and carefully assembled by our fully qualified and experienced carpenters using trusted, traditional methods.

Each completed truss is coated with a preservative and finished with a sealer or stain expertly chosen to meet each client's exact requirements.

We also produce other products including foot bridges, colmwood columns and telecommunications pylons using similar manufacturing techniques.
